Programs & Events
Springboard is a central player in the ecosystem that fosters high growth entrepreneurship with the mission of connecting women entrepreneurs to relevant sources of equity capital and growing their businesses big.
We promote women's entrepreneurial development through alliances, partnerships and direct programming. This includes targeted education and coaching initiatives, strategic connections with investors, corporate partners and industry sector experts as well as hosting forums that showcase our companies.
|
FORUM PROGRAMS |
The Springboard Forum Program is a community-driven accelerator involving the active participation of hundreds of investors, accountants, lawyers and business development professionals in recruiting, qualifying and coaching emerging growth businesses led by women. The program includes both in person and virtual sessions providing many opportunities for direct contact with both the companies and other participants. Each company is assigned a team of expert 'coaches' who assist them in refining the presentation and facilitating connections to investors and business development opportunities. |
|
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS |
Springboard Educational Programs offer women business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs an introduction to sources and uses of capital to finance the growth of their businesses. Employing the expertise of successful entrepreneurs, lenders and investors, the program provides attendees inside information about what is involved in raising capital to grow their businesses, what lenders and investors look for, and what resources are available in the community to assist businesses in preparing for, securing and employing appropriate sources of capital. A special mini-workshop on financial projections and/or valuing the business is included along with an opportunity for a few pre-selected attendees to pitch their businesses to a panel of investors and receive constructive feedback. A networking luncheon or reception following the program provides attendees with an opportunity to ask questions and receive input from lenders, investors and other financial experts about their own businesses. |

DOLPHIN TANK |
The Dolphin Tank is a supportive pitch practice program intended to help presenters refine their elevator pitch through friendly, actionable feedback from a panel of investment industry experts. Unlike ABC's Shark Tank or the British Dragon's Den, in the Dolphin Tank we "swim alongside you", with the panel and the audience working to help presenters understand the strengths and weaknesses of their pitch. Dolphin Tank sessions have been featured at the George Washington University in DC, at SXSW in Austin, and at DWEN events in Brazil and India. |
