About Silicon Valley: 2000

The inaugural Silicon Valley event took place in January of 2000 at Oracle Corporation headquarters in Redwood Shores, CA. Twenty-six women-led companies presented to an audience of over 300 venture capitalists, angels, corporate investors and event sponsors. In the months following the event, the 26 presenting companies have raised over $300 million in venture capital. In addition, the event garnered significant press coverage and national awareness, including articles in the Wall Street Journal, US News & World Reports, Forbes, Fortune, Washington Post, Red Herring and more.
